It's the weekend and it's looking like a fun and busy one! So I wanted a style that was cute, flirty, and no fuss..........SOOOOOOOO a side ponytail was a must! I created this style using 2 bags of 100% kankelon hair. I braided one bag into a large braid and the second bag I split into two and two-strand twisted. I wrapped the braided hair around my bun first, then the twisted hair. So easy to do - you must try it!

Gel used: Eco Styler gel with Moroccan Argan Oil (red top)

For the last few weekends my go to style has been the ponytail updo. Not only is it easy but its a great protective style for the spring/summer and it only cost me $3 to do! My bestie Myanna asked me to post some instructions on how I do it and I had to oblige. I hope the pics and instructions help.............If you have any questions feel free to leave in the comments section. Thanks

This style is one ponytail using 3 bags of 100% kankaleon hair. 2 bags of hair - each braided into one large braid, 1 bag of hair split into two and braided - this is used to criss cross over the larger braids. Have fun and pin as you go - create whatever look you like!

The LOVE of curls........Today I fell in love again with my natural curls. My flat twist out was just perfection today!

How do you feel when your style turns out just right? I feel....FOXXY!

I just found this video and it's one of the best twist videos I've ever watched on YouTube. Shameless Maya is so entertaining and descriptive in what she is doing. She shows how to flat twist and 2 sttwist out. Take a look!

What's your favorite way to rock a old twist out?

For me its pulling out the dependable "bobby pin" and start pinning!
Here is a style I came up with today - I was going for a rocker type look.

Do you like?

Over the weekend me and my girl Jocelyn took a day trip down to Atlanta to attend the 16th Annual World Natural Hair, Health, and Beauty Show. Can you say FUN!?!?!?! We had such a great time at the event. I walked into the show feeling like a million bucks - My flat twist out came out FABULOUS!

We got to the show around 2pm so there wasn't many samples being given out. That was fine with me because I was interested in seeing the styles. Twists outs, braids, locks, updos......There were so many awesome styles in the building! I was so inspired and was taken in all the styling options to get ready for the summer.

The highlight of my trip was definitely meeting MsVaughnTV of YouTube. She has been my fav vlogger since I started my natural hair journey. It was nice to meet and thank her for being so influential in my hair journey. She was so nice! I also got to meet MsDanti1 and MsKelabug of Youtube.

All the naturalistas I met were so nice and willing to let me take pics to share with y'all. One thing I love about the natural hair community is that everyone loves to help each other. I just felt good vibes with everyone that I encountered. I felt at home for sure :)

I didn't buy a ton of products, I just picked up items I needed to replace: Jamaican black caster oil and UR Curly brand shampoo and conditioner, and of course I bought some accessories.

Did you attend the hair show? What did you like most? What did you buy?
